BMW X1 is a luxury car manufactured by the German motor company BMW. BMW X1 comes in the category of executive cars, in fact BMW X1 is a compact executive station wagon which serves for mainly executive purposes and provides an ultimate style status, comfort and true luxury. BMW X1 is an extension of the BMW sports car series known as BMW Sports Activity Series and has sports cars like, BMW X5, BMW X6 and the BMW X3 series. Among these three X3 is the largest and when BMW X1 is compared to X3 you can see it gives a smaller yet sportier outlook to it.

BMW X1 stared its production in 2009 and is considered to be one of the most prestigious cars in India. It’s been recent since BMW set up their own plant in India and started its production here. BMW X1 is assembled in variety of countries like Germany, Mexico and India. In India it is assembled in the BMW plant at Chennai, Tamil Nadu. BMW X1 is a car which totally belongs to the category of compact executive car. This car was revealed in Paris Motor Show of 2008, where its concept version was on display. It gained quite popularity there and ultimately the BMW Group decided to put it under production and that is how BMW X1 was started and today it is a great success in the class of executive cars.The body style of BMW X1 is of a 4 Door Wagon or Station wagon which is a three box design and preferable when it comes to carry extra man power or cargo. Therefore it is best suited for all kinds for executive purposes. Moreover, BMW X1 has a layout of front engine and a four wheel drive which is basically means longitudinal fluid transmission is placed on the front while the rear has the driver.

The cargo capacity of BMW X1 is that of 420 litres of storage space which increases to 480 litres when the back seats are folded in the front, while when all the seats re folded the storage capacity increase up to 1385 litres. The backrest portion of the sets in BMW X1 is adjustable in total steps which can be divided into a neat ratio of 40:20:40. Other features which add to the good name of BMW X1 are performance control to keep you in check, adaptive cruise control and semi command sitting position.
