The Volvo C30 is a smart, sexy, fun hatchback. Aimed at a younger crowd, it offers the buyer a lower priced option than Volvo’s other models. If you’re looking for fun in a small package, then this is the car for you!The fun all begins with a turbocharged 227 horsepower engine. A six speed transmission is standard, putting you in control. If you’re looking for automatic transmissions this is an upgrade option, although a bit more sluggish.The Volvo C30 is based on the same platform as the S40 and the V50. A key difference though is that the C30 is 8.8 inches shorter giving a firm and agile ride. This is most likely the best handling car in the Volvo line up. With the standard six speed transmission the C30 this mean machine can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in just 6.2 seconds. While the automatic transmission gets there in a bit slower, but not too shabby, 6.6 seconds. Fulfilling Volvo’s goal to provide a sporty, agile car for the younger generation.

The EPA guidelines estimate that you will get 19 MPG in the city and 28 MPG on the highway. The average driver can expect between 22 -24 MPG. The peppy turbocharged engine, though, is quite a temptation and will probably make it difficult to keep on the upper side of the estimate.The Volvo C30 is a two door vehicle. The front seats offer plenty of room. But don’t rule it out as a family vehicle. The backseat offers headroom for the average person. If you’re taller than 6 feet you’ll feel a little cramped. The interior of the vehicle is chic and modern with loads of options. We did notice that the steering wheel was a bit large for a sporty car. Generally, we prefer the feel of a smaller wheel, but the standard tilt control allows for more room for the larger driver and the option exists for a walnut steering wheel catering to the race car purist. But even for the big guy, there are enough standard adjustments to make almost anyone feel comfortable. The C30 comes with a standard Volvo floating center console, which helps add interest to the interior of the vehicle.Normally there’s not much to be said about the stereo, there usually not much difference between the stock systems, but in the Volvo C30 we have to make an exception. The car comes with the standard 160 Watt AM/FM/CD player capable of playing MP3′s with six speakers.

But for those of you who relieved like your music loud, there is an upgrade to a 650 Watt unit with 10 speakers and Sirius satellite radio. This baby really sounds good. Even at high volumes the sound is clear and crisp giving you a beautiful experience. In addition, as an accessory you can add a USB Port giving you flexibility to use your IPOD, or connect other devices to the stereo. Also a Bluetooth phone option is available giving you nearly unlimited possibilities.

The Volvo XC90 is a seven passenger luxury crossover SUV that comes in two different trim levels: 3.2 and sportier 3.2 R-Design. Available with front or all wheel drive, the XC90 has a 3.2 liter inline six cylinder engine rated for 240 horsepower. It's paired to a six speed automatic transmission.Standard equipment highlights include 18 inch alloy wheels, a sunroof, rear parking sensors, dual-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, eight way power front seats, a built in child booster seat, Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, and an eight speaker sound system that includes an iPod/USB audio interface. Major options include adaptive bi-xenon headlamps, a rear entertainment system with dual screens, a DVD-based navigation system and a surround sound audio system.On the road, we've found that the XC90 drives just as you'd expect a safe, heavy Volvo SUV to drive. Acceleration from the inline 6 is just adequate. Those looking for more energetic performance should know that the previously available V8 powered models are considerably more satisfying to drive. Ride quality is smooth and the cabin stays quiet, while handling is competent but not particularly sporty. Equipped with AWD, the XC90 makes an excellent snow vehicle but isn't intended for serious off road romps.To its credit, the XC90 has a first rate interior, good overall driving dynamics and excellent safety scores. The trouble is, most rivals offer these attributes as well as fresher designs. In addition to Volvo's own XC60, we'd suggest you also consider the Lexus RX and Volkswagen Touareg if a third row isn't required. If it is, then we'd suggest the Acura MDX, BMW X5, Buick Enclave and Ford Flex. The Volvo XC90 is certainly a nice luxury crossover, but it lacks an edge over the competition in both luxury and performance.

The new Volvo C70 Inscription Edition combines bespoke exterior details such as the painted grille, black 18-inch wheels and LED daytime running lights surrounded by contrasting chrome, with unique interior features, including Sovereign Hide upholstery, a leather-covered dashboard and aluminium trim.The limited package can be combined with all the engine options available for the Volvo C70 including the petrol and diesel units. Buyers can choose from three exterior colors - Black Stone (Solid), Black Sapphire (Metallic) and Ice White (Solid).Volvo said production of the new Volvo C70 Inscription Edition will be limited to 2,000 units worldwide.

The Volvo OV 4 was the first Volvo automobile manufactured by the Volvo Company. The Volvo’s first car was manufactured in the Goteborg facility in 1927. Volvo as an automobile company manufactured trucks and heavy transport vehicles like buses and transport trucks initially. The first truck was presented to the world in 1928. AT that time Volvo was the only company which produced transport vehicles and it soon n earned a name in the developed part of the world. There was a lot of demand for their trucks across the world and this made Volvo to make arrangements to export their vehicles soon after. They started their export branch in 1930 finally.  Volvo also has been manufacturing Marine engines as much as it manufactured trucks and then they soon started manufacturing aircraft engines.

This made Volvo Group sell their Volvo Car Corporation to Ford Motor Company and the entire transaction took place for a whopping USD $6.45 Billion. The focus after being taken over by Ford for the Volvo Car Corporation is now commercial vehicles and it is working towards creating more commercial vehicles in the form of transport and goods carrying huge vehicles.
