The Japanese auto firm Honda manufactures a five door hatchback car that is known as the Honda Fit. The Honda Fit was first unveiled in the year 2001. While the vehicle is marketed under the Honda Fit name in North America, South America, Japan, and China, in several other parts of the world, the car is known as the Honda Jazz.While the Honda Fit is now widely considered to be among the best known Honda models around the world, it had a very slow rise to that position. The Honda Fit was initially unveiled in the year 2001 in Japan and immediately won numerous accolades. Shortly thereafter, the vehicle was introduced to the markets in Europe, Australia, South America, South Africa, Southeast Asia, China, and Mexico. In the year 2006, a production model of the Honda Fit was unveiled for the Canadian and United States markets at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan. While most Honda models tend to have either four or five year model cycles, the current generation of Fit vehicles will likely remain for a much longer period due to its delayed release in the United States of America and Canada.
